GINGKO CLOUD/STEVIE JONES & DEAN SHELDRICK/ROGUE NOTION/KEVIN HEWICK
Duffys 9th October 2025
Another lovely happy night in Duffy's Bar with Botheration #5... and the most eclectic and exciting line up to date, and so it proved with a night of wonderful varied music and the usual great vibes.
Opening up as ever was the legend that is Kevin Hewick... what more can I say about Kevin?... a special man and special artist... tonight he cut his set short as there was an extra act playing this month... but his two songs, and his performance were outstanding... even time for a typical Kevin ramble in between!!
Next up were GINKGO CLOUD a name i know well but for one thing and another I hadn't seen them before, but what an impression they made... cracking punky/rocky sound with some quality musicianship... an outstanding drummer driving things along and great bass bass and guitar. Up front a singer with bags of personality and great style making for a great raucous rocking set

Next up, the exceptional Stevie Jones, this time accompanied by DEAN SHELDRICK on guitar. Stevie is one of the best songwriters around, and his performances, whether with the Wildfires, The Trio, Solo or with Dean are superb. As a performer Stevie delivers his great songs impeccably with great style. Tonight he concentrated on acoustic versions of Wildfire songs for a forthcoming solo acoustic album of the material. Accompaniement tonight was by Dean Sheldrick on guitar, his playing was superb and the tone from his guitar simply beautiful. As ever with Stevie a great hugely enjoyable set... a real master at work
Following was a real variation on the evening in the shape of Mark Theobald & Liz Logie. We know them well from their performances in Looma, and various other projects so know they are superb musicians and tonight as a duo they treated us to a superb set of tunes and songs. Liz's accordion playing and Mark's harmonica playing are exemplary and merge together perfectly making an wonderful whole... They play with joy, great sprit and flair and delivered and superb highly engaging set
To end the evening, up stepped ROGUE NOTION to deliver a rocky/reggae set of great material. Musically excellent and fronted by a singer overflowing with energy and personality. They hit the stage running and delivered a superb set, keeping the great vibe they opened with going for the whole set, and built it up as they went along...
Fabulous evening... 5 great acts delivering 5 great sets...
