So, back at the Musician Pub for some more saturday night rock'n'roll... as the band came on, a cheery " hello Leicester" and an impish grin from Gerry and the fabulous Band Of Friends crashed into a pulsating glorious "Messin' with the Kid" and the pace, power and intensity didnt flag for a moment over the next two hours.
Gerry McAvoy (bass) and Brendan O'Neill (drums) both played extensively with the great Rory Gallagher and Paul Rose (guitar) & Jim Kirkpatrick (guitar/vocals) join them to form one of the most powerful and exciting rock'n'roll bands around...
From the opening bar of Messin' with the Kid to the closing bar of Bullfrog Blues this gig was high power glorious rock'n'roll delivered by a bunch of superb musicians...simply wonderful
