Another fine gig at Musician Pub tonight... opened up by a fine set by Misty River, such a soulful unique beautiful and expressive voice delivering some fine songs. accompanied variously by guitar, steel guitar, dobro and fiddle there are large doses of country, americana and traditional roots music in there making a fine and invigorating whole... really enjoyed the performance
Headlining was Rachel Baiman, a Nashville based singer-songwriter playing guitar banjo and fiddle along with her bass player (whose name i sadly didn't catch... apologies...). they delivered a really great set of songs in a nashville country/americana way. The music that despite it's orginality and great quality feels very comfortable as though it has been a good friend for many years... and will remain so for many more...
Rachel has a superb voice and and engaging stage presence along with great musical ability on guitar, banjo and fiddle.
Hugely enjoyable gig and would love to see her back again...
