Wild Daisy & the Blackhearts

WILD DAISY & THE BLACKHEARTS
Heather Music Festival 4th August 2024

A short trip to the Heather Music Festival to see the debut gig of Wild Daisy & The Black Hearts ... and it was a real treat!! but sadly time constraints meant i couldn't stay to see any of the other acts
The Blackhearts are predominantly a southern rock band, featuring twin lead guitars, bass and drums and Hannah up front singing.
This was a first public performance by the band and they delivered in great style. The drummer (who is by trade a bass player) and bass player lay down a great beat while the two guitars mesh perfectly... and the passages featuring lap steel and slide were absolutely superb.
Up front Hannah has always been a great singer and performer and leading her own hot band really shows her qualityies. Her singing throughout was powerful and full of passion and it was great to see her smiling broadly throughout...
The set was made up of covers, some more familiar to me than others, and it was great to hear a. cover of a "the Damn Truth" number (One of the best rock bands around!)
The whole set was delivered with great passion and style by a hugely talented band who were clearly loving being on stage performing.
As a performer and singer Hannah seems to grow in assurance and quality with every show, and I expect great things from this band as they continue to play... really loved this show and so looking forward to the next one!!
Keep music live... keep music real... support your local venues
