Humanitarian Fundraiser

HUMANITARIAN FUNDRAISER
Musician Pub 14th October 2024

This was a special day at the Musician Pub, a Fundraiser for Palestine, organised by Ian Sunderland to raise funds for Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and Medical Aid for Palestine.
The event featured 9 bands and 10 speakers over the 7.5 hours during the course of the afternoon and evening.
The speakers delivered a variety of very eloquent and interesting talks throughout the day and I am sure they had an impact and i think everyone in the room learned something from them. For reasons of discretion there will be no images of the speakers or clips of what was said.
This review covers purely the musical content... and this was not a day to analyse the performance of any or the artists involved. With 9 acts on the bill inevitably everyone will have enjoyed some bands more than others but the important thing is that the bands came and played. So, huge thanks to Boilermen, Mental Load, Misskicks, Velvet Crisis, Not My Good Arm, Wonky Portraits, Caroline MacLavy, Echolocation and People Assembly, and to Damon Gibbons for a fine job hosting the event.
