Autumn Dawn Leader

AUTUMN DAWN LEADER
The Big Diff 19th March 2025

Different kinda gig last night.... at a Big Diff Small Gig to see Autumn Dawn Leader....

Given the low key venue playing in the bar this was never going to classic night, but Autumn never disappoints... she delivered her usual full blooded passionate set with assurance and style.
The set concentrated on material from the "Naked Truth" album including the wonderful "Howl" and one of my favourites, "Five Decades"
We also had a cover, the Pet Shop Boys "it's a Sin" as well as a couple of earlier songs, including "Lachrymose Lady" and "Radioactive".
In any situation Autumn is an outstanding artist... assured, intense, maverick, dramatic... and has a wonderful voice that can soothe and caress, overwhelm with its power and soar with glorious clarity The keyboard playing emphasises the shifts in intensity of the vocals and it was interesting to hear the new album tracks in this stripped down form.
Autumn was ably supported on some backing vocals but embarrassingly I didnt catch the guys name... (apologies...)
Thoroughly enjoyed the set as always
If you haven't yet heard "Naked Truth", Autumn's masterwork... look it out... it is a cracker
(yes... i know I am biased towards Autumn's work!!)
Before Autumn we had a set by Aaron Isaac... who sadly was plagued with technical problems and and a guitar not functioning properly... a real shame because he has a good voice and i think had it not been for the gremlins, this would have been a really good set... hope to catch him again without the gremlins!!
Keep music live... keep music real.. support your local venue
